(w)ORD: EBBE+FLOW
EBBE+FLOW is a touring exhibition, co-curated by David Faithfull and Imi Maufe.
It stemmed from (w)ORD, a seven year Residency and travelling exhibiton project between nine artists based in Norway and Scotland.

(w)ORD began with two Artists' residencies supported by BAG Art Camp and the Society of Scottish Artists.
The first was at Tormore on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, (2018) and then at Tjuvika in Gulen, Norway (2019).
Each residency investigated language, landscape and history with invited geologists, scientists, linguists and local inhabitants taking part in seminars and field trips alongside the artists.
EBBE+FLOW is presented in a specially designed chest (kist) containing individual drawers for each artist, and a display space for flat work, unfolding to reveal sculptures, drawings, prints, video and artefacts to fill the space in any sized gallery, ferry, barn or other unusual exhibition space.
An accompanying Artist’s Book publication funded by Creative Scotland accompanies the project.
This was launched at An Tobar on Mull in 2023.
In 2024 the artists and the exhibiton ventured across the North Sea on the tall ship 'Swan' following an invitation from the Viking Festival in Gulen in 2024.
