(w)ORD:EBBE+FLOW

EBBE+FLOW is a touring exhibition, stemming from (w)ORD,a four years collaborative communication and artistic research project between nine artists based in Norway andScotland: Sarah Jost, Marit Tunestveit Dyre, David Faithfull, Rhona Fleming, David Lemm, Jon Macleod, Imi Maufe, Randi Annie Strand and Calum Wallis.
(w)ORD started with two BAG Art Camp/Society of Scottish Artists residencies, first at Tormore on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, (2018) and then in Bergen and Tjuvika in Gulen, Norway (2019). Each residency investigated language, landscape and history with invited geologists, scientists, linguists and local inhabitants taking part in seminars and field trips alongside the artists.
EBBE+FLOW is presented in a specially designed chest (kist) containing individual drawers for each artist, and a display space for flat work, unfolding to reveal sculptures, drawings, prints, video and artefacts to fill the space in any sized gallery, ferry, barn or other unusual exhibition space.
An artist book publication accompanies the project and was launched at An Tobar on Mull.
