Art Lending Library launches in Darlington...
 
We’re off! The Art Lending Library launched on Saturday with a parade led by artists Walker & Bromwich in the sunshine of Darlington.
 
Accompanied by the Cockerton Prize Silver Band, the parade made its way through the town centre, stopping on route for a ceremonial handing-over of the artworks from the artists into the care of the Art Lending Library, to be enjoyed by the people of the Borough of Darlington for the next five weeks.

The parade included curators from the Emerging Curators programme at mima, Middlesborough Institute of Modern Art, who have been selecting new works for inclusion in the exhibition. Thanks to all the volunteers who too part, and to those who helped make it happen.
